Did Texas Execute an Innocent Man?

Ruben Cantu was just 17 when he was charged with capital murder for his alleged involvement in a botched robbery. He was convicted and sentenced to death. At the age of 26, he was executed by the State of Texas. Now, the Houston Chronicle has uncovered stunning evidence that Cantu was likely innocent. The blawgosphere is abuzz about this case today. It is a must read. (A follow-up article about the co-defendant who has recanted his implication of Cantu is here.)

Changes . . .

The last few weeks have been not so great for me. Things at work have taken a turn that I can't really discuss here. Suffice it to say that blogging has been pretty much impossible. Anyway, the long and short of it is that I am planning on moving to the beautiful State of Washington in the next few months. My mother grew up there, and now lives there with all her family. I definitely think it is time for a change. If any of you have any good job prospects for me, I am happy to hear them!
